What’s free in our pancreatitis community (and how to get it)

People keep asking me where the free material is. It’s all in one place now: the Classroom tab of our Skool group. All 7 open the day you join.

Here they are, in the order you’ll see them.

The 7 free things in the Classroom

  1. Start Here. 5 short lessons for the first weeks home: what happened to you, how to tell a flare from an attack, what to eat at first, enzymes and timing, and the part that lives in your head. About 20 minutes. Open from day one.
  2. The Safe Foods Checklist. One page for the fridge, A4 or US Letter. Three bands: always safe, reintroduce with caution, and the ones that never come back. Open from day one.
  3. 15 low-fat recipes. 2 breakfasts, 7 soups, 4 mains, a salad and a drink. Each has a photo, the fat and calories per serving, and a link to the printable recipe here on the site. Open from day one.
  4. Look inside the book. A 4-page PDF with the cover, all 48 chapters, the 5 recipe tiers and the 9 bonus printables. You don’t need to give an email for it. Open from day one.
  5. The 7-day meal plan. 19 pages of gentle-phase meals for the first weeks home, 20 to 30 g of fat a day. Open from day one.
  6. Pancreatitis, in plain words. The 54 terms you hear at the bedside, explained the way I wish someone had explained them to me. Plus a 5-page printable to keep with your papers. Open from day one.
  7. The Food Test Log. 3 fillable pages, A4 and US Letter. It’s Chapter 28 of the book on paper: one new food at a time, watched for 48 hours, written down. Open from day one.

If you want the meal plan tonight, it’s also a free download here on the site: the 7-day meal plan.

Why the log sits next to the checklist

The checklist is what worked for me, and your body still gets its own vote. Everything in its reintroduce with caution band gets tested one food at a time before it becomes a regular. So does every food the list doesn’t mention: a fruit you haven’t touched since hospital, or the dish your family makes every Christmas.

The log keeps those tests on paper, so you’re not relying on memory 2 days later.

How to get in

Joining is free, and what’s free stays free. There are 2 paid tiers for people who want more: a new meal plan every month and live calls.

Once you’re in, open the Classroom tab at the top of the group. Say hello in Start here while you’re at it, and tell us where you are in this: just discharged, a few months in, years in, or looking after someone.

What costs money

2 printables in the Classroom cost $5 each: the blood sugar log and the appointment sheet. The book is here on the site. Everything in the list above is free.

This is what worked for me. I’m a patient, not a doctor, so take anything you find in there to your own care team before you change what you eat.
