I did some counting this week.
The 7-Day Meal Plan has 39 recipes. The new Mediterranean cookbook has 70. The book has 75.
That’s 184 recipes, and no dish is in there twice. Each one has its own dishes. I’d be annoyed if I paid for the same chicken soup 3 times, so I made sure you can’t.
Here’s what else moved since Monday.
The Mediterranean cookbook is on sale
“14 Days Around the Mediterranean, Low Fat” went live today.
14 days, each one on a different coast: Crete, Liguria, Dalmatia, Lebanon, Morocco, Sardinia and 8 more. 70 recipes and 14 drinks. There’s no alcohol in it, in the glass or in the pan. Where a traditional recipe uses wine, I use broth and lemon.
Every recipe is written on 2 dials. The gentle dial is for the weeks after a flare: 21 to 26 g of fat across the whole day. The steady dial is for when you’re stable: 40 to 48 g. It’s the same dish with a few things added back.
The olive oil is measured in teaspoons, and here’s why. A tablespoon of olive oil is 13.5 g of fat. A normal pour over a salad is 2 of them. On the gentle dial that’s your whole day, gone on one salad.
It’s $29, in A4 or US Letter, grams or cups: the Mediterranean cookbook.
Which one is for what
The 7-Day Meal Plan is for the first weeks home. 20 to 30 g of fat a day, 5 eating moments, 39 recipes. The whole week is free to download. The recipes with methods and weights are $14.99.
The Mediterranean cookbook is for when you’re past the scared phase and you miss real food. 70 recipes, 14 days.
The book is the whole system: the fat budget, the 72-hour protocol for a flare, the mental side, and 75 tested recipes in 5 tiers.
The illustrated edition is out on Monday
The book is finished.
On Monday 5 October the illustrated edition goes on sale: 450+ pages, fully laid out, with the figures, the photos and all 75 recipes. It replaces the text edition I’ve been selling since the pre-launch.
It’s $49 until 31 October and $69 from 1 November. You’ll find it on the book page.
If you bought the text edition, the illustrated one is yours, free. That was the deal and it stands.
A lighter green
After feedback from readers I changed the green on the covers and across the site this week. The old one was too dark.
I’m still fine-tuning the cover colours and a few details on the site, and I go by what you tell me. If something looks off on your phone, write to me.
